We are only as good as customers say we are. Let’s face it, when you are booking a room or buying something, it’s always nice to know that you’re getting what you want or you’ve been given a tip about somewhere you didn’t know about.

A Mountain Retreat Closeburn House was just a delight, providing stylish, comfortable accommodation, the most beautiful gardens to sit in and enjoy summer in the Blue Mountains and we had the best hotel breakfast. Absolutely delicious.

Closeburn House is nothing short of sublime. It was a trip highlight. The standard of accommodation, cleanliness and food and drink was exceptional. The interiors of the rooms and shared guest areas are beautifully appointed as are the gardens and outdoor areas. Paul and Steve are warm, informative and the best hosts you could ask for. What a find! It’s good value as well and located close to a lot of quaint towns and stunning natural wonders. A blissful experience which I hope to repeat soon. Thanks Paul and Steve.

This was, without question, the best place I’ve ever stayed. From the moment we arrived, everything felt effortless and welcoming. The room was absolutely immaculate—spotless, beautifully presented, and clearly cared for with incredible attention to detail. What truly set this place apart, though, were the hosts, Paul & Steve (and Ted!). They were warm, genuine, and attentive in a way that made it feel like I was staying with friends rather than just checking into a property. Nothing was too much trouble, and their hospitality created such a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere. And the breakfast… honestly next level. Fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and absolutely delicious. I couldn’t recommend this place more highly. It’s rare to find somewhere that gets everything right, but this truly does. I really hope I get the opportunity to stay again.

This is our 2nd visit to Closeburn House. We were totally grateful to Steve and Paul for there wonderful care of us. You feel totally welcome as soon as you walk through the front door. We can't wait to return. Definitely a 100 out of ten. The only location we can't wait to visit again. Still a 100 out of ten.
